Boxer Joe Louis will seinen Weltmeisterschaftskampf gegen Max Schmeling absagen. Er fürchtet, seine schwarzen Landsleute zu enttäuschen. Bogg macht ihm wieder Mut.
The Omni lands Bogg and Jeff in New Jersey, 1938, where they find Joe Louis ready to quit boxing while preparing for his rematch with Max Schmeling. Bogg becomes his sparring partner to convince him otherwise, but a lucky punch on his part manages to knock out Louis and even further convince him to quit for good. Hostile fight-ring workers dont' take kindly to Bogg, and he and Jeff escape to a 747 in 1970. Jeff ends up piloting the craft when terrorists knock everyone else out with gas. After a safe landing, the duo return to 1938, where they put Louis on a Rocky-style training regimen. Louis ends up beating Schmeling and history is back on track.
Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, juin 1938. Phineas et Jeffrey tombent dans le lac, avant de se rendre compte qu’ils sont dans le camp d’entraînement du boxeur Joe Louis, qui doit affronter dans quelques jours Max Schmeling.
Quelque part au-dessus du Nevada, février 1970. Pour la première fois, ils tombent dans un avion en vol. L’Omni clignote rouge mais ils n’ont pas le temps de chercher ce qu’ils doivent réparer : un terroriste s’empare du poste de pilotage et un gaz répandu dans l’avion plonge tout le monde, Phineas inclus, dans un sommeil si profond que Jeffrey se retrouve seul à pouvoir faire atterrir l’appareil, guidé par un pilote depuis la tour de contrôle de Salt Lake City.
New Jersey puis Yankee Stadium, New York, juin 1938. Après tant d’émotions, il faut quand même retourner s’occuper de Joe Louis.
