Människorna, Skeppet, Tiden, Del 2

In the second episode the salvation of Vasa in 1961 is shown. From the clayey bottom of the water just outside of the city center of Stockholm a piece of untouched 15th century was attended. Apart from remnants of the dead sailors and soldiers also tools, household utensils and clothes were found.

År 1628 stod äntligen regalskeppet Vasa färdigt. Den sommaren samlades tusentals nyfikna längs Stockholms kajer för att se henne glida ut på sin jungfrufärd, som kom att sluta i katastrof. Efter bara drygt en kilometer kapsejsar det ståtliga skeppet och sjunker på fem minuter. Av de 130 ombordvarande drunknar mer än 40 personer.
