Bill freundet sich mit Lindas neuem Freund Eric an. Das ist auch für alle Beteiligten erfreulich, bis der Neue beim Fremdgehen erwischt wird und Linda ihn wieder rauswirft.
Bill befriends Linda's new boyfriend, Eric, but unfortunately, she walks in on him with another woman in the shower and dumps him. Bill's feeling lonely now that Judy told him he couldn't see Eric, but all it takes is one phone call for Bill to start sneaking around behind Judy's back to hang out with him. All is well until Eric says he can't go to a hockey game with Bill as promised and Bill later sees him on TV at the game. When Linda gets back together with him, Judy's surprised by Bill's negative reaction, which breaks down the whole chain of lies.
A la surprise de tous, pour la première fois Bill devient ami et complice avec le nouveau petit-ami de Linda, Eric, jusqu'au moment où celle-ci découvre son infidélité. Alors que les comparses partagent déjà la passion du sport, de la bière et des bars, Judy interdit à Bill de revoir Eric le briseur de coeur. Finalement, Bill ment pour faire quelques virées avec son nouvel ami jusqu'au moment où celui-ci se découvre lui aussi victime de la traîtrise d'Eric. Donc, quand Linda se remet avec Eric, Bill réagit furieusement, rompant ainsi l'insidieux cercle de mensonges établi depuis peu...
