この作品は、1985年にヤングマガジンで連載された楠木道弘の『水曜日のシンデレラ』の作者による漫画を原作にした、女子、ギャング、車がテーマのアニメです。地元の不良たちは車を盗んでナンバープレートを付け替え、売りますが、それだけでなく、ライバルギャングとしばらくレースもします。アニメは、木村一八主演の1987年の実写映画の続きから物語が始まります。
