Window technology has made some major advances over the millennia. Like adding screens to keep bugs out, and double glazing to keep heat in. But scientists and engineers are still iterating and innovating to make windows even better (and also making the buildings that have these windows more energy efficient). Let's look at some of those innovations, from switching out glass for transparent wood, to smart windows inspired by squid skin.
