An estimated one-and-a-half million Americans are infected with HIV. If government estimates are correct, half will develop Aids in the next ten years. American film-maker Peter Adair offers a moving and uplifting account of how 11 men and women, infected with HIV, live with the prospect. His subjects range in age from 17 to 60 and represent a variety of lifestyles, regions, ethnic origins and risk groups. Adair, whose work often examines issues of immediate personal concern, says, "A while ago I tested positive for the HIV virus.... I decided to make a film about it."
