Shall We Gather at the River?

Tom er kommet tilbage, men har mareridt om at blive fanget igen af Skitters. 2nd Mass bliver angrebet af Skitters og Mechs, da de prøver at komme over en ødelagt bro, og Tom forsvinder igen i al forvirringen og eksplosionerne.

Tom is haunted by memories of his time with the aliens. Pope plants seeds of doubt about him among the group. Ben’s hatred for skitters grows. The 2nd Mass locate a bridge that will help them cross the river to safety ahead of an impending attack.

Anne dunque scopre che un parassita risiede all'interno dell'occhio di Tom, che viene correttamente estrapolato e rinchiuso in un vaso. Comunque Tom non è sicuro di essersi liberato di ogni controllo da parte degli alieni, così richiede di essere legato dal capitano Weaver. Ben perlustra la zona, e scopre che una sentiero del bosco porta sulla collina, in una zona non sorvegliata dai Mech. Così la squadra si organizza per attaccare da quella zona. Thai fa esplodere la base centrale, mentre i veicoli, che perdono il contatto con la propria base, fuggono. A questo punto il piccolo esercito riesce ad attraversare il fiume, facendolo esplodere proprio mentre la retroguardia aliena prova ad attaccarli dalla parte umana del fiume.

Tom ainda é assombrado por lembranças de quando esteve na nave, e começa a imaginar que possam ter lhe feito algum tipo de alteração cerebral. Pope, que é o principal membro que duvida de Tom, planta diversas dúvidas dentro do grupo. Enquanto isso, Ben começa a se interessar pelos Skitters. A 2ª Mass chega a uma velha ponte que ainda pode lhes ajudar a atravessar o rio e fugir do ataque iminente.
