Maruko’s class goes on a social studies field trip to a candy factory. Though the point is supposed to be learning about society, Maruko can only think about the souvenir she expects to get on the way home. She gets lost in the factory and misses out on the souvenir—but even worse, there’s a written report waiting for her at the end.
まる子のクラスは社会科見学で、お菓子工場に行くことになった。社会科の勉強で行くはずなのに、まる子は帰りのお土産の心配ばかり。工場の中で迷子になって、お土産を貰いそびれたまる子だったが、最後に感想文という宿題も待っていた。
