For me, The Atari Lynx seemed the undisputed King of the 90s Handhelds. It had glorious 4,096 colour visuals, it had Atari's backing and, importantly it was claimed to be 16-bit, just like the newest consoles at the time, however Nintendo's Game Boy blew it out of the water. Even Sega's Game Gear flew past it in sales... and I could never understand why. So, welcome to the Atari Lynx story where I'll delve into exactly what happened and why.
