मोहक लापता है। पहली बार अप्पू उस सच्चाई को साफ़-साफ़ देख पाता है जिसका सामना करने से वह हमेशा बचता रहा—सबकी रक्षा करने की कोशिश में उसने चुपचाप उसी इंसान को सबसे ज़्यादा तकलीफ़ दी, जिससे वह सबसे अधिक प्यार करता है। अब उसके पास सब कुछ ठीक करने का सिर्फ़ एक मौका है। लेकिन क्या वह देर होने से पहले मोहक को ढूँढ़ पाएगा? और जिया का क्या, जो सब कुछ जानते हुए इस कहानी में आई और तब भी साथ रही, जब इसकी कीमत उसे लगभग सब कुछ खोकर चुकानी पड़ी?
