Rome, 2017. Benito Mussolini (Massimo Popolizio) falls from the sky in front of the Porta Alchemica. As he wanders, disoriented and believing it still to be 1945, through the city, he interprets modern situations and things from a Fascist perspective.

Benito Mussolini torna in Italia e trova il paese profondamente cambiato. Il Duce è deciso a scalare nuovamente le gerarchie per tornare al potere. Sulla sua strada si imbatte un giovane regista, Andrea Canaletti, il quale non lo riconosce e pensa sia un suo perfetto imitatore. Andrea lo aiuta ad apparire in televisione e Mussolini acquista una notevole popolarità.
